Cookie and Storage Policy

This policy explains how Peachy Healthcare Limited ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies — including browser local storage — on our website and web platform (www.peachyhealthcare.com). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

In short: we keep this to a minimum. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. The only storage we use is essential for security and for the site to work. Because of this, we do not need to show an intrusive cookie-consent banner — but the law still requires us to be transparent, which is what this policy is for.

 

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage (a small amount of data your browser keeps for a site) and third-party scripts that may store or access information on your device. The rules under UK PECR and UK GDPR apply to all of these, not just traditional cookies, so this policy covers them together.

Some are first-party (set by us) and some are third-party (set by a service we rely on, on their own domain).

 

Our approach

We deliberately avoid non-essential tracking. Specifically:

•      We do not use Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, PostHog, or any other analytics tool.

•      We do not use advertising or marketing pixels (for example Meta or TikTok pixels) on our website.

•      We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share tracking identifiers with advertisers.

•      Our fonts are self-hosted — loading a page does not send a request to Google Fonts or set any font-related cookies.

The limited storage we do use is strictly necessary or functional (security and core site operation). Under PECR, strictly necessary storage does not require prior opt-in consent — but we disclose it below for transparency.

We do not currently set any cookies via server response headers.

 

Payments (Stripe)

When you make a payment, checkout takes place on Stripe's hosted checkout at stripe.com. Any cookies or storage used during payment are set by Stripe on their own domain, under Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies — not by us. We receive confirmation of your transaction but do not control Stripe's cookies. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

 

Third-party services referenced above

•      Cloudflare Turnstile — provides bot protection. Cloudflare's handling of any data collected is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).

•      Stripe — provides payment processing, as described above.

Because these run on our forms or during checkout, they may store or read a strictly-necessary item on your device for security. They are not used for analytics or advertising.

 

Why we don't show a consent banner

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), prior consent is required for non-essential cookies and similar technologies (such as analytics and advertising). We do not use any of those. The storage we do use is limited to what is strictly necessary for security and to deliver the service you have requested, which is exempt from the consent requirement. We still tell you about it here so you have full transparency.

If we ever introduce analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies in future, we will update this policy and put an appropriate consent mechanism in place before doing so.

 

Managing storage on your device

You are always in control of what is stored on your device:

•      Clear or block local storage and cookies through your browser's settings (usually under "Privacy" or "Site data"). Clearing `peachy_device` simply generates a new identifier next time; blocking essential storage entirely may prevent parts of the site (such as secure login or form submission) from working.

•      Browser privacy modes / extensions can also restrict storage, with the same caveat.

 

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our use of cookies or storage changes, or for legal or operational reasons. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "last updated" date.
